Cory Ludwig | Yellow Nest Designs

Cory Ludwig was a new Mom who had decided to stay home to care for her daughter.

What she didn’t realize was how incredibly isolating and exhausting that choice would be. Even though she was caring for a tiny human all day and night long, Cory still felt like she needed another purpose.

Cory needed a way to be creative again, like she was years before. She missed the flow and energy that her creativity brought her so she decided to take action and start Yellow Nest Designs.

"That is when I reintroduced the art of crochet back into my life." Cory continues, "It has brought me so much joy and accomplishment. And has filled that final hole I was so terribly feeling."

Crocheted baskets, rugs and home accessories: Cory uses upcycled T-shirt Yarn. "Making things with my hands. There is nothing more satisfying!"

Feeling satisfaction from her accomplishments, Cory says "It has made me a better, more present and more creative wife and mother, so happy I found it! Again."

Cory reminds us that "Buying pieces from handmade artists and crafters can be extremely supportive especially in your local community. As the maker I am proud of what I do and I hope others can see my skill in the pieces I make."

We certainly acknowledge Cory's ability to make good use of her talents!
