Mandi Lombardi-Ball of Natures Photo Shoot - Turning To Nature For Healing
About 6 years ago, Mandi decided to become an artist. She has not studied art formally, but has developed as an artist by exploring the options that were available.
She draws inspiration from her brother who died as the result of a motorcycle accident in the summer of 1992. He was 19 and she was 16, and they had been inseparable.
The loss was and still is very powerful to Mandi. She describes it as: “An unexplainable pounding of emotions.” And she often turns to nature for healing during these difficult times.
It was during her hikes in the local parks and woods that she started capturing the beauty around her with a camera. It was then that she realized if she was able to comfort herself with her photography, then maybe she could comfort someone else. And so, “Nature’s Photoshoot” was born.
Mandi has shown her work at Carton Brewery in Atlantic Highlands, The Art Council in Atlantic Highlands, and the Middletown Arts Center.
She also enjoys having her photographs placed on various items like pillows, canvases or coasters. “It gives the photo more personality,” she declares.
