John Vitt, Jr., CPA - Funny & Insightful
I recently attended a very interesting seminar on taxes. What!? Taxes and interesting in the same sentence? Normally this would not be possible, but John H. Vitt, Jr, CPA, is an anomaly. He combines 40 years of experience, with an excellent sense of humor, and a unique ability to break complex tax regulations down into simple sound-bites, focusing on what is relevant to the audience he is addressing.
In 1 hour, his mixed audience of individuals and business owners were able to identify at least 3 topics from the new tax bill that we each needed to care about. And he had us laughing too.
John H. Vitt, Jr., is a certified public accountant and a founding member of Accounting firm Vitt & San Filippo LLC, now Hollman Frenia Allison. He is a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPA’s. He was also a Monmouth College faculty member, where he taught accounting principles, cost accounting, and taxation.
John has provided representation before the Internal Revenue Service and State of New Jersey Division of Taxation regarding tax disputes, including payroll, corporation, partnership, individual income taxes, sales tax, estates and trusts. He has also been an expert witness regarding NJ sales tax disputes.
John graduated with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from Monmouth University with a Bachelor of Science and a major in accounting. He also has an MBA with a concentration in Taxation from Pace University.
ATL’s Business Club will be hosting a free coffee and desert meet-up on Thursday, Jan 25th, from 7pm to 9pm, where John will be on-hand to entertain us with highlights from the new tax bill, and answer questions on business individual taxation topics.
